Are Dental Implants Really Worth It?
Yes — but with caveats. Here's an honest look at the cost, the timeline, and the trade-offs vs. bridges and dentures.
Dental implants are the longest-lasting tooth replacement modern dentistry offers. They don't decay, they preserve jawbone, and they don't require us to grind down healthy neighboring teeth the way a bridge does.
The trade-offs are real: implants cost more up front, the full process takes several months, and not everyone has the bone density to be a candidate without grafting. A 3D scan tells us definitively which path is right for you.
For most patients missing one or two teeth, implants are the best long-term value in dentistry. For full-arch cases, an All-on-4 implant denture is often dramatically better than traditional dentures — both functionally and emotionally.
